Toby Levy hopes his South Manchester side have learned their lessons after crashing in a seven-goal thriller against The Village.

Levy saw his new-look side surrender a 3-1 lead to leave empty-handed.

Jack Lee (2) and Sam Cantor looked to have put South Manchester on course for a win.

But a second-half rally from the hosts saw Levy’s men slip-up.

He said: "It was a disappointing start from us. We should have taken something from the game but we will learn from this.

"We have a young side and they were bigger and stronger than us.

"That is something we need to get used to in this league."
