Ryan Silvester struck twice as Maccabi Manchester 1st came from behind to win their opener against Mace.
New boss Martin Simons saw his side fall behind in the first half before easing to victory.
Louis Basso (pen) and Silvester (2) netted in the second-half to leave Simons purring after a game Mace finished with 10 men.
He said: "This was just the start that we wanted. It was a physical game, but my players were not intimidated.
"We have to get used to playing in this league. It will take a little time to adjust so to get off to a win is ideal."
