6 slices bread of choice – I like chunky white or sourdough
375ml plant-based milk
4 tbsp maple syrup
210g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
½ tsp allspice
Pinch of sea salt
1 large ripe banana
3 medjool dates pitted and chopped
Oil, for frying
Other optional toppings
Plant-based yoghurt
Nut butter
Maple syrup
Toasted walnuts
