Serve in whichever pretty glasses you like - you'll need six to eight of them.

Method:

• Make up the jelly according to the packet’s instructions: in my case, that meant mixing the cubes with 100ml cold water followed by 400ml boiling water, although I replaced the cold water with 100ml vodka.You may want a little more or less.

• Pour the jelly into the glasses, more or less up to the halfway mark. Refrigerate jellies to set.

• Pour some of the cranberry juice in a shallow bowl.
