With a month to go before the November 24 deadline for reaching a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear programme, the Israeli government believes the sides are close to a deal which will leave a large part of Iran's uranium enrichment capacities intact.

On Thursday, Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz arrived in London for high-level meetings focusing on Iran and the security ties between Israel and Britain.

Negotiations continued this week in Vienna between Iran and the P5+1 group of world powers, and diplomats are due to meet there again next week.
