Barbra Streisand slams Golden Globes sexism, says Patty Jenkins should have been recognised for Wonder Woman

In 1984 Barbra Streisand became the first woman to win a Golden Globe award for Best Director.

Thirty-four years later, she remains the only woman to have won that coveted award.

This week, Streisand pointedly remarked on the inequity which has seen only four female directors nominated since 1943.
