The MGBSFL's basement division was littered with players who could and probably should have been playing higher up the ladder. But their respective managers were grateful for having these precious gems.

1. BEN LAW (Scrabble FC) In Ray Abrahams' opinion, Ben "has probably been the best keeper in all three divisions. He has had an outstanding season and has not only kept numerous clean sheets but made match winning saves and has been worth an extra ten points to is this season"

2. LIAM STEIN (NL Raiders C) - a model of consistency at the back for a strong NLR team. Never shirks a challenge and broke forward well

3. NICK LANDESBERG (ML Lions B) - played Herts Senior County League Prem Div on a Saturday and bottom tier MGBSFL less than 24 hours later. Scored some important goals and didn't put a foot wrong

4. MARK SINGER (L’Equipe) - "Captain, leader, legend. Was a rock throughout and showed true L’Equipe spirit all season long"

5. ELLIOTT ESPINOZA (Scrabble FC) - "has had an outstanding season as our play-maker who at times has been unplayable with his pinpoint passes and assists and has pulled the strings for us in midfield all season. Has also scored a huge amount of goals from midfield and is a match-winner for us"

6. JOSH PUGH (Athletic Bilbaum) - "Joined during the season, he scored seven goals, produced multiple assists and dictated play throughout; the conductor to the Baum end of season crescendo"

7. BENJI WEINBERGER (ML Lions B) - ball-playing midfielder who can pass the ball through the eye of a needle. Never stopped running

8. ZACK McLEOD (Scrabble FC) - "had ripped apart defences all season with his surging runs at pace and is also our top-scorer and had our last game not been cancelled would have been I'm sure the top scorer in the entire league falling just four short of the Golden Boot. Menacing free-kicks and spectacular goals from distance all season"

9. JOSH BLOOM (ML Lions B) - a big-money move from North London Raiders but repaid every penny after Sam Marchant broke the bank to bring in the goal machine

10. DANNY SHERMAN (Scrabble FC) - "has been the target man off of whom everyone else feeds. His hold-up play and ability to bring others into the game and his work-rate has been second to none. Also been a while prolific scorer for us all season"

11. BEN BELL (Athletic Bilbaum) - "12 goals, double figure assists, and a constant menace, destroying every right-back in his path"

Subs: Cael Persaud (Athletic Bilbaum), Dan Kosky (Faithfold B), Andy Smith (L’Equipe), Mark Smith (L’Equipe)
