Here are the star performers in the MGBSFL first division.
1. SCOTT SHEAR (Real Sosobad/Redbridge JC B) - "has been simply outstanding since his move to RJC B from Real Sosobad. We have not lost a game with Scott playing which says something. Once again he has the attributes to be one the top keepers in league"
2. DAN KING (Oakwood B) - "Has barely put a foot wrong in his debut season and has been a near ever present. Strong, commanding in the air and terrific with the ball at his feet. Has a number of goals and assists to his name and I think he is someone we will hear a lot about over the next few years. At just 23, he is destined for the captaincy"
3. BEN MYERS (SPEC FC) "Another great first season. Started in the middle of midfield but has made the left back position his own. Been our most consistent performer"
4. ADAM SHAFRON (Woodford Wanderers) - eyebrows were raised when he moved from Redbridge Jewish Care, but any accusations of him lacking ambition were silenced after he helped the Wanderers return to the Promised Land as champions
5. MARC HECHT (SPEC FC) - "Another fantastic campaign for our skipper. With our flying Scotsman, our record is a lot better than without. The heartbeat of our team"
6. ALEX AVIRAM (Woodford Wanderers) - "The Chairman racked up multiple assists in what has to be his most productive season for Woodford. A constant threat from set-pieces which gave us the believe that we could score from every free-kick or corner. One of our most vocal players this season, his energy was hugely important to us when driving the team forward"
7. JON BREGER (FC Team B) - still a Rolls Royce of a midfielder. Drove his team forward and hit double figures in the goals department. Would walk into any side in the division
8. REISS MOGILNER (Brady Maccabi) - MGBSFL Golden Boot winner went on an incredible scoring run. His team needed 10 more of him!
9. TOM ALEXANDER (Woodford Wanderers) - "Before this season he had never won a game in a Woodford shirt – and what a difference a position makes! Switched from left wing to centre forward, he started off the season on fire and found it harder to miss than score. He went through a bit of a dry patch mid-season, but his contribution to the team along with some outrageous pieces of individual skills and brilliance made him a favourite in the changing rooms"
10. JACOB RICHLER-KLEIMAN (Oakwood B) - one of the best finishers in the division kept his team in the mix for a top two finish until the latter stages. Give JRK the ball and he will score!
11. ZACK NEIMAN (SPEC FC) - "What a debut season. He's been simply fantastic. Blistering pace and scores goals for fun"
Subs: Bobby Abrams (Oakwood B), Oli Kenner (Brady Maccabi), David Fialka (Redbridge JC B), Lorian Madanes (FC Team B), Richard Salmon (FC Team B)
