More than 50 years since the arrival of the children’s favourite ring-shaped snacks on the UK market, the Sephardi Kashrut Authority has announced today that the prime children’s party snack have been added to its approved list.
The kosher pareve approval applies only to the ready salted flavour but will undoubtedly be welcome news for school packed lunch makers.
Director of Operations, Rabbi David Neifeld told theJC: “We have carried out extensive research into this product and are delighted that we can give our approval.”
He went on to say that “this is a product that people have been asking for, especially since the approval of other potato snacks, so we’re delighted to be able to confirm this.”
The crunchy treats join products like Lotus Biscoff biscuits, a range of flavours of Tyrells crisps and several varieties of biscuits made by McVities (including Rich Tea and Digestives) on the SKA approved list.
