We’ve got one for everyone: from jam-filled favourites and Sephardi sfenj to gluten free and vegan bakes

With only nine days until the fried food festival comes in, I’m delighted to share my most extensive list of delicious doughnuts ever.

Every doughnut desire is catered for so you can be sure to have something for everyone.

Apple and custard are a match made in heaven and if you like custard, Claire Thomson’s recipe is the dream.

Everyone can enjoy doughnuts even if they’re avoiding gluten. Lisa Roukin’s gorgeously gluten-free baked doughnuts with sticky caramel sauce are also dairy-free so a perfect parev treat.

Winter’s perfect for zesty citrus fruits and Emily Scott’s orange doughnuts filled with zingy lemon curd tick all the boxes for a bright celebration.

More gluten free treats, this time from one of our favourite recipe writers, Becky Excell. These gluten free seaside doughnuts which are fried like a normal ‘nut so have a very traditional feel.

Not quite a regular doughnut but this huge, vanilla-flavoured cake creation from Vicky Graham will be a hit at any festive celebrations.

We love these star-shaped treats from Trevennon Dakota. His magen david sufganyot filled with fig jam are a gorgeous treat that everyone will love.  Perfect with a black coffee or a cuppa.

Silvia Nacamulli’s light and lovely chestnut sufganyot are filled with a very festive chestnut puree for a creamy sweet nutty hit of flavour. You’ll adore them.

And these strawberry jam-filled sufganyot from Ta’am are also a lovely, airy treat that’s very easy to eat with a traditional favourite filling.

Fabienne Viner-Luzzato’s huge baked choux doughnut ring is filled with Chanukah gelt and slathered in melted chocolate. A treat that children will adore.

Chouxnuts are a tasty combination of choux pastry with a doughnut. Former GBBO contestant Jurgen Krauss served his Yuzu choux nuts up with a zesty glaze and crunchy streusel topping.

These churro-like cinnamon doughnuts from Kevin Mangeolles are a lovely easy way to make your own Chanukah treats.

These delicious vegan fried doughnuts (also coated in cinnamon) from Melbourne-based deli Smith and Deli are perfect for making sure everyone can celebrate. Use the plant-based dough recipe for any other doughnuts you fancy frying up.

Yoyo’s are a very Tunisian treat that children will adore. Serve Fabienne Viner-Luzzato’s chocolate coated yoyo’s on a plate or arrange like a bunch of flowers on cocktails sticks.

These Moroccan sfenj from Amir Batito are relatively simple and an utterly delicious treat that are filled with warming spices and can be served simply dusted in sugar or with a delicious quince jam.

For another Sephardi treat, try Leah Koenig’s gorgeous cardamom sugar bimuelos which are a spicy, rustic treat with Middle Eastern vibe.

Denise Phillips’s baked coffee doughnuts that are easy to make and a sticky, shiny coffee glaze that’s perfect for covering in sprinkles.

Lisa Roukin’s doughnuts packed with vanilla-flavoured confectioner’s custard are another baked treat everyone will adore. Replace the custard with jam if you prefer.

These simple-to-make mini doughnut bites from Jane’s Patisserie are raised by baking powder not yeast so can be on your table within the hour. Genius.
