This is perfect for Tu Bishvat, fast to make and all about the dried fruits and nuts. I add ricotta to softens the intense flavour of the dried fruits and nuts. You can prepare these canapés up to an hour in advance and leave covered at room temperature.
Method
Halve the dried fruits lengthways. If the figs are big, quarter them.
Place a teaspoon of ricotta cheese inside each fruit and decorate with walnuts, pecans, pistachios or pomegranate seeds.
