Meghan Markle has reportedly fallen out with her Jewish ‘best friend’, Jessica Mulroney, after allegations emerged that the Canadian heiress had bullied a black blogger.

Fashion stylist Ms Mulroney is the wife of the son of former Canadian Prime Minister’s Brian Mulroney, and the heiress to a Montreal shoe business.

Ms Mulroney has been described as Ms Markle’s “bestie”, and it was widely reported that Ms Markle and Prince Harry left their son Archie with her in Canada while they returned to the UK in March.

However, earlier in June, Ms Mulroney was accused of threatening black lifestyle blogger Sasha Exeter.

Ms Mulroney appeared to have taken offence at Ms Exeter’s statement that she was not doing enough to combat racism.  

Ms Exeter has detailed how Ms Mulroney threatened to destroy her career and to sue her for libel.

Ms Mulroney has since apologised three times, and her husband Ben Mulroney has resigned from one of the shows that he anchors on Canadian broadcaster CTV after allegations made by a co-star that Ms Mulroney was planning “retribution” for those who had not supported her during the dispute.   

The American tabloid The New York Post reported that Meghan Markle had not spoken to Ms Mulroney in over a week, and the Daily Mail suggested that their friendship may be “over”.  

Ms Markle and Ms Mulroney had been friends since 2014, when they were introduced at a party in Toronto.

Ms Mulroney is the descendant of Romanian Jewish immigrants to Canada, who settled in Montreal in the 1930s.
