Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman and Ben Stiller are to be reunited on screen.
The trio are all set to appear in Little Fockers, the third installation in the successful Meet the Parents series.
In the films Mr Hoffman and Ms Streisand play the parents of Greg Focker, Mr Stiller’s character.
Mr Hoffman, 73, had originally turned down the chance of reprising the role of Bernie Focker but has now agreed to film several scenes for the film.
A Universal Studios spokesperson said the film was ready the studio "want to make it better - it's an investment in the future of the franchise.”
Ms Streisand will return as sex-therapist Roz Focker, on hand to advise Ben Stiller’s character as he adjusts to parenthood.
Little Fockers is expected to be released in December.
