Gadi Mozes has been named as the third Israeli hostages to be set free from Gaza tomorrow.
Mozes will be released alongside Arbel Yehoud, 29, and 19-year-old soldier Agam Berger after 481 days in captivity since their abduction on October 7, 2023.
The 80-year-old agricultural expert, was taken from Nir Oz during the attack.
His partner, Efrat Katz, was killed, and his family has not received any information about him since December 2023, when he appeared in a Hamas propaganda video.
The names of the hostages were handed to Israel by Hamas via mediators from Egypt and Qatar, officials confirmed.
The handover will also see the release of five Thai nationals kidnapped by Hamas in the same attack, though this is separate from the ceasefire deal between the terror group and Israel.
At least 31 Thais were kidnapped during the October 7 massacres in southern Israel, and six remain alive Gaza.
They have been named as Surasak Lamnau, Pingsa Nattapong, Bannawat Seathao, Sathian Suwankam, Sriaoun Watchara, and Pongsak Tanna.
The bodies of Sudthisak Rinthalak and Sonthaya Oakkharasr, who were confirmed dead by officials, are believed to remain in the Strip.
It follows the return of four female hostages – Karina Ariev, 20, Daniella Gilboa, 20, Naama Levy, 20, and Liri Albag, 19 – on January 25.
Tomorrow’s releases came together at short notice after Hamas’ decision to return the group of soldiers before Yehoud, a civilian, led to accusations from Israeli officials that it had breached the ceasefire deal.
A further three Israelis will be released this Saturday under the pre-determined weekly schedule – their names are yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, concern is growing for the fate of the Bibas children, two-year-old Kfir and five-year-old Ariel, after they were left off the release list for the third week running.
Hamas has reportedly confirmed to Israel that eight of the hostages slated for release in the first phase of the ceasefire are dead but have not disclosed the names of the deceased.
The return of the soldiers only worsened the Bibas family’s pain as, under the terms of the deal, the children should have been released before any military personnel.
