Canada’s beleagured Prime Minister has condemned the anti-Nato riots which erupted in Montreal last Friday, which saw “acts of antisemitism, intimidation, and violence” sweep through the streets.

Justin Trudeau faced backlash after a video surfaced of him at a Taylor Swift concert in Toronto as his hometown, Montreal, descended into violent chaos.

Police said they made at least three arrests after two cars were set on fire, smoke bombs were ignited, and the windows of businesses were smashed, including those of the Palais des congrè, which was hosting a NATO conference.
