The disgraced academic said that the ‘entire Zionist movement’ should be ‘dismantled and its ideology eradicated’
March 25, 2025 15:21The Home Office has been urged to take action after disgraced academic David Miller urged his 89,000 social media followers to “find out” where Zionists are and “target them”.
On Monday, Miller posted on X: “Protests are not enough... Those who are interested in ending this genocide must begin by targeting those responsible near them: the entire Zionist movement globally must live in fear of accountability until it is dismantled and its ideology eradicated.
“And let's be clear, there are Zionists everywhere. In every town and city.”
“Find out where they are,” Miller posted with the hashtag “Dismantle Zionism”.
A prolific X poster, Miller also wrote: “Between 63 per cent and 80 per cent of British Jews, (depending on your source data) identify as ‘Zionist’. Even higher numbers say that they feel ‘very or somewhat attached to the country’ (73 per cent) or ‘personally connected’ to ‘Israel’ (97 per cent).”
In the wake of his posts, the Board of Deputies has written to the Home Office about Miller's “incendiary rhetoric,” telling government officials: “We have serious concerns that he is directly inciting violence against Jewish individuals and institutions in this country.”
The Board pointed to Miller’s drawing of a link between British Jewry and Zionism, claiming that his call to ‘target’ the latter amounted to an incitement against Jews.
Miller responded to the allegations in a later post, in which he said he was urging action “against poor vulnerable genocidal Zionists” and clarifying: “I am inciting people to call for Zionists to be held accountable to the full possible extent of the law.”
In their letter to the Home Office, the Board said: “We believe that this is clearly threatening language, intended to stir up racial hatred. We urge prompt action to reassure and protect the Jewish community.
“Miller has now stated that ‘the entire Zionist movement globally’ is responsible for ‘genocide,’ and should be ‘targeted,’ while emphasising that the vast majority of Jews in the UK feel a significant and personal attachment to Israel,” the Board said, as they called on the Home Office to protect the community.
The Board noted that Miller, a presenter on Iranian state channel Press TV, recently attended the Beirut funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, the slain leader of proscribed terrorist group Hezbollah.
He posted a photograph from Nasrallah's funeral alongside plane hijacker PFLP member, Leila Khaled.
Counter-terrorism police said they were looking into evidence to determine whether “further investigation” was required into his visit to the terror chief’s funeral.
The former professor achieved notoriety when he was sacked from his teaching post by Bristol University in 2021 over his anti-Israel comments, but last year, an employment tribunal found that he was unfairly dismissed and his anti-Zionist views were “worthy of respect in a democratic society”.
While still employed by Bristol University, Miller claimed that “Even chicken soup is a Zionist plot” and argued that students at the Jewish Society were being used as “political pawns by a violent, racist foreign regime.”
He has taken aim at Jewish schools, accusing them of influencing pupils to promote Zionism and “radicalising” youngsters.
Responding to the JC’s enquiry, Miller said: “The Zionist movement globally – including its members, funders and leaders –will have to face justice and accountability for the genocide it has led in the Levant over the past 18 months.
“There will be no escape from justice. Prosecutions, international arrest warrants and all imaginable legal consequences will be meted out. This incessant campaign of Zionist rape, torture, jailing, bombardment and theft has a price, and that price is the relentless march of justice for all involved.”
The Home Office and the Metropolitan Police were approached for comment.
