A serial stalker faces jail after being convicted of breaching his restraining order to approach his victim.

A jury found former TV producer Elliot Fogel, 36, guilty of his third breach of the life-long order which bars him from being within one mile of Claire Waxman.

He had previously stored tens of thousands of web searches about Ms Waxman on his computer, visited her workplace and called her office during the night to listen to her voice on the answering machine.

Mrs Waxman described how Fogel's harassment campaign has ruined her life and the strain it had put on her health and her family's well-being.

The pair had first met when they were both studying at St Albans' College in 1991. After completing their studies there was no contact between them until Fogel sent Mrs Waxman flowers in 2003.

He was convicted of the latest offence at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday and will be sentenced next month.

In January last year, Fogel, of Edgware, north west London, was jailed for four months after admitting breaching the order.
