Rachel Stevens is to appear on the next series of Celebrity Masterchef.
The former S Club 7 singer will compete with the likes of Ulrika Jonsson and Vic Reeves for the much-coveted culinary award.
But if an interview from last year is anything to go by, she may face a bit of an uphill battle. She told the Mail Online that she was just brushing up on her kitchen skills, saying: “I'm learning to cook. It's not my forte.”
The 39-year-old mother-of-two is one of 20 contestants who will cook up a storm in the BBC show this summer.
Judges Greg Wallace and John Torode will oversee the programme as always, where contestants will initially compete in groups of five. Those who go through will then face a series of gruelling tasks, including cooking for paying customers.
Also joining the six-week series is Paul Daniels’s widow Debbie McGee, singer Patti Boulaye and tennis player Henri Leconte.
The 90-minute finale will see three finalists facing the Chef's Table - led by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton.
Ms Stevens has had previous success in a TV contest - she came second on Strictly Come Dancing in 2008.
