Police have increased patrols in Jewish neighbourhoods in London in the wake of the Tel Aviv terror attack.
The move followed a discussion with the Community Security Trust.
Mark Gardner, CST communications director, said: “As is our normal practice, CST was in discussion with police in advance of a Jewish festival, in this case Shavuot, following which the attack in Tel Aviv occurred. The police have correctly decided to increase patrols in Jewish areas.”
Mr Gardner stressed that the measure was to provide “visible reassurance” to the community.
