Police drop probe into alleged hate remarks at anti-Netanyahu protest

articlemain

Police have dropped an investigation into a complaint made against a pro-Palestinian activist .

Last week, Jewish Human Rights Watch reported a video which appeared to show a woman supporting the killing of Jews at an anti-Israel protest outside Downing Street on September 9.

A police spokesman has now confirmed: “Officers from Westminster have assessed the footage and no further action will be taken.

“No further action is being taken as the officers assessed the footage and it did not reach the threshold of a hate crime.”

Lawyer Robert Festenstein, who acts for JHRW, said he was “astonished” that the investigation was dropped.

He confirmed that the group would call for a review into the decision.
