ShabbatUK will take place this year on October 23 and 24, the Chief Rabbi's Office has announced.
Synagogues, schools and communal groups will be encouraged to hold events to enhance the celebration and observance of the day of rest.
The initiative was set up in 2014 by Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, inspired by the successful Shabbos Project in South Africa.
More than 100,000 people took part in over 600 events.
At the time Rabbi Mirvis said he "wanted Jews in the UK to appreciate Shabbat's key benefits".
These included, he said, family bonding time, connection with community and Jewish tradition, and as a safety valve for the pressures of the working world.
This year's event is aimed at participants across the community. The Chief Rabbi issued an invitation to all Jews to join in "what promises to be, once again, a truly remarkable display of Jewish life".
He added: "Whoever you are, whatever your background or level of religious affiliation, ShabbatUK is for you."
