Love Island contestant Eyal Booker has been voted off the show in a dramatic twist.

The 22-year-old former JFS pupil, who was in a couple with Megan Barton Hanson, was selected by his other contestants as one of two people to be eliminated from the ITV2 show on Wednesday night.

Mr Booker and Ms Hanson were in the bottom three couples, along with Zara McDermott and Adam Collard and Ellie Brown and Alex George, after a public vote.

The other Love Island contestants had to pick two out of the six to send home.

The model, who lives with his two brothers in St John's Wood, north west London, was picked along with Ms McDermott.

It comes after Mr Booker and Ms Hanson became the first couple this year to have sex on the show.

In episodes earlier in the week Ms Hanson dumped Mr Booker because he was not “fun.”

Speaking to Heat magazine after he was voted off, he said: "I don’t think it’s unfair that I was dumped from the villa, because the girls had to choose someone. But I feel like I had a lot more to give and I genuinely went in to find love.”

“I’m the kind of guy who goes for what he wants – at the time, I went for Megan, but maybe I shouldn’t have.”
