articlemain

A former primary school teacher who has been charged with three offences relating to indecent images of children was denied bail at St Albans Crown Court this morning.

Ben Lewis, co-founder of the privately-run children's summer camp LL Camps , was ordered to attend court after the Crown Prosecution Service contested bail, which was granted at Hatfield Remand Court on Wednesday afternoon.

The hearing was held in closed court at the request of both prosecuting lawyer Neil Sandys and defence barrister Nick De Freitas.

Mr Lewis was remanded in custody ahead of further proceedings.
