After discussing his disagreements with Gap and Adidas, he then appeared to claim he was being targeted by Zionists and US intelligence stating: "and then I deal with this little bit of noise from, you know, Zionism, from the fashion world where they used this plant named Gabby who's obviously some kind of CIA agent, knows nothing about fashion. When someone can’t dress you know that they’re not, like, a fashion person.”
His mention of "Gabby" could potentially refer to Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson who Mr West criticised in an Instagram post last month.
“I’m getting hosed down every day by the press, and financially,” West said, continuing: “I found out that they tried to put me in jail.”
Mr Pool suggested that the press had been “extremely unfair” to the rapper, with Mr West interjecting to ask the host what he meant by “they,” speculating that who “they” are could not be admitted publicly.
Mr Pool said he had meant the “corporate press” when he had referred to “they”.
“I don’t use the word [they]as the way I guess you guys use [it].”
Mr Fuentes then said “it is them though isn’t it?” possibly alluding to the far-right practice of referring to Jews as a collective “they”.
As Mr Pool began attempting to explain his stance Mr West promptly left the room, soon , followed by his fellow guests.
A guest can be heard asking Mr Pool offscreen, “Are you afraid of the press?”
“You guys want to bring that stuff up and think we’re not going to have a conversation?” Mr Pool explained following Mr West's exit. “You think Ye’s gonna come in here and say, ‘Here’s my pain, here’s my suffering’… and it was Jewish people. I’m not gonna do this. I refuse.”
Earlier in the recording, Mr West admitted that Jewish people experience "pain" due to the Holocaust, continuing: “I just gotta go right to the heart of this antisemite claim that’s happening. This is something, if you read the definition, it says you can’t claim that there’s multiple people inside of banks, or in media that are all Jewish, or you’re antisemitic. And that’s the truth. Like, it’s the truth.”
However he said that individuals who challenge “indoctrination” are “demonised” and referred to an antisemitic film promoted by basketball player Kyrie Irving who later apologised after being suspended from the Brooklyn Nets.
Last week, Mr West attended a dinner at the Florida home of former President Trump alongside Mr Fuentes.
The 24-year-old blogger has previously denied the Holocaust and had demanded that Jews leave the US.
In October Mr West tweeted what many considered to be an apparent death threat to Jews: “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 on Jewish people.
“The funny thing is I actually can’t be antisemitic because black people are actually Jews also. You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” he went on.
