Travellers at Ben Gurion Airport A Palestinian man was shot on Sunday after he crashed into a checkpoint at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.

It comes after two similar incidents over the past fortnight.

The suspect allegedly travelled into Israel from the West Bank and stole the vehicle used in the crash. Once at the airport, the driver sped toward the security checkpoint and rammed it into it, then driving the car on the wrong side of the road toward the terminal building.

The suspect received minor wounds when airport security began to fire shots and was arrested. The Israel Airports Authority said in a statement that the “vehicle was stopped en route to Terminal 3,” and stressed that “the incident is under investigation.”
