Israeli actress Gal Gadot, currently enjoying international box office success with Wonder Woman, went far beyond the ‘standard response to a fan letter’ when little Zoey Vardi-Bar – a 7-year-old Wonder Woman fan from Pardes Hanah, near Haifa – sent her a note in Hebrew.
The note read:
“Dear Gal. I love Wonder Woman very much, meaning it’s you.
So if you don’t mind could you please create games, pyjamas and surfboards of Wonder Woman.
With love Zoey Vardi Bar. I am 7½ years old.”
Zoey’s mum – Liat Vardi-Bar – thought the adorable message deserved a wider audience and shared it with friends on Facebook. But then it came to Gadot’s attention, and Zoey got a personal response from the star, which read:
“Sweet Zoey.
I was very happy to read your letter. You have a really beautiful handwriting. Well done!
I’m not responsible for pyjamas and surfboards, but I think it’s a really good idea and we certainly need to find whoever is responsible for this and tell him to create games, pyjamas and surfboards of Wonder Woman.
You are very smart and creative. I wonder what you would like to be when you grow up.
In the meantime I’m sending you a big hug. Gal.”
Zoey’s mum was quick to express her delight:
“I haven’t admired anyone for a very long time, and then Gal arrives with tons of personal magic and strength that can stop the entire planet
“This is just a little note of a 7 1/2 year-old girl (my daughter who will be so excited when she comes back home from school), but in my eyes
it’s huge and testifies so much about this woman who is Wonder Woman on the outside and apparently the inside as well.”
It's official! @WonderWomanFilm has become the most Tweeted movie of 2017. Congrats to @GalGadot @PattyJenks and the cast! #girlpower 💪🏼

Wonder Woman, still in cinemas, is already the 13th biggest film of the past year and is enjoying the biggest social media success for any film so far.
And with Gadot working as hard as she is to reach out to every single fan it can only get bigger.
