NBC’s long-running satirical comedy show Saturday Night Live has been enjoying something of a purple patch under the Trump presidency.
Now it has been announced, as had been previously rumoured, that the blockbusting star of Warner Brothers’ superhero smash Wonder Woman will be guest-hosting the show.

The show, on October 7, will be the Israel-born star’s first appearance on the New York-based NBC sketch comedy show. The musical guest will be British singer Sam Smith.
Former Trump administration Communications Director Sean Spicer raised eyebrows at the Emmy Awards, earlier this month, by attempting to ape SNL star Melissa McCarthy’s spoof impersonation of him. That appearance led to an acerbic Instagram post from Star Trek Discovery star Jason Isaacs in which he compared Spicer to Hitler’s propaganda boss Josef Goebbels.
