Former LL Camps director Ben Lewis faces further criminal charges ahead of a preliminary hearing at St Albans Crown Court tomorrow.
Mr Lewis, 25, from Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, was charged in August with three counts relating to the alleged possession of indecent images of children.
He was later charged with additional offences – two relating to perverting to the course of justice and one of child neglect.
Today, police confirmed that Mr Lewis, who co-founded the LL Camps children summer programme, faces four further charges. The Bushey-based camp was permanently shut down after Mr Lewis was charged.
He has been charged with an attempt to observe another person taking part in a private act without consent for sexual gratification. The alleged offence is said to have taken place in Hertfordshire in 2012.
Mr Lewis, who is Jewish, has also been charged with two alleged offences relating to taking an indecent photograph of a child – and one charge of making an indecent photograph of a child. These three offences are alleged to have taken place in Hertfordshire in May this year.
Three other people, who have connections to LL Camps, are also facing criminal charges, which will be heard at St Albans tomorrow. The charges relate to alleged child neglect and perverting the course of justice.
Mr Lewis’ father Larry Lewis, 55, has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Mr Lewis’ former business partner Tal Landsman, a former JFS student, 25, has been accused of child neglect and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
His mother, Adrianne Landsman, 56, from Edgware was charged with one count of child neglect.
Larry Lewis, Mr Landsman and Mrs Landsman were bailed at an earlier hearing this month – while Ben Lewis was remanded in custody.
All four are set to appear at court tomorrow.
