A small group of pro-Palestinians activists have mounted a protest outside an Israeli cosmetics shop in central London.

Five protesters from London Palestine Action, holding placards and wearing boiler suits, stood outside Sabon in Covent Garden and chanted at passers-by for around an hour.

Staff had closed the shop early on Thursday before the demonstrators arrived, at the request of Sabon’s Tel Aviv office.

The JC understands that anti-boycott communal groups were asked by the shop’s owners not to counter-protest.

LPA had posted their plans to protest on Facebook and said it had held a training session for demonstrators at London’s School of Oriental and African Studies.

The event follows a LPA protest outside the shop last month , which was timed to coincide with Yom Kippur. Around 20 activists entered the store as the Jewish festival began. The shop’s manager said they planned to steal products, before being stopped by police.
