Magen David Adom UK is to close its Manchester office and remove its regional director role.
The charity said the restructure would improve fundraising through the launch of young committees and help from volunteers in Leeds and Manchester, which are to be co-ordinated by a London team.
The move sees the loss of MDA regional director Richard Simon, who was praised for his work over nine years.
MDA UK chief executive Daniel Burger said the charity would “redouble efforts to work with communities outside the M25” and was mindful as many charities are seen to have a London focus.
The Reform Movement closed its northern office in 2008, followed by closures of JNF’s offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Leeds.
