Jewish Care has teamed up with Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue to launch a fortnightly outreach club supporting locals experiencing memory loss.
The shul-based Memory Matters will offer participants “the ideal opportunity to find a new hobby, revisit a favourite pastime and build friendships”, explained Jewish Care’s Graham Freeman. “The aim is to enhance their health and well-being, combat loneliness and isolation and build confidence.”
Activities include arts and crafts, current affairs discussions, singing and light exercise. Organisers are hoping to recruit more volunteer helpers and drivers.
The club next meets on February 26.
