It's £90k at 90 for MDA volunteer

articlemain

To mark the 90th birthday of Magen David Adom’s oldest volunteer, Norman Feingold, friends and family from the UK raised £90,000 for a mobile intensive care unit in his honour. The donation was celebrated at a Jerusalem ceremony attended by UK and Israeli supporters.

Originally from Manchester, Mr Feingold now lives in Netanya. He has a long-time involvement in the charity, of which he is a UK vice-president, establishing Christian support groups.

He said at the ceremony that he had a favourite quote — “it is not incumbent upon you to finish the task, but neither are you free to absolve yourself from it”. He might not see the day when his aspirations were realised but believed “that every man’s duty is to do all within his power to promise the continuation of the Jewish nation”.
