Manchester King David High pupils relayed concerns about access to higher education to Michael Gove when the Education Secretary visited KD’s new £22 million campus last Friday.
He sat in on maths, chemistry and French classes and also met the school’s senior management.
Governors’ chair Joshua Rowe said Mr Gove “spent quite some time exploring students’ thoughts about the A-level courses, university admissions and about the world of work beyond.
“Pupils and staff very much enjoyed the dialogue.”
A Department for Education spokesperson said the visit reflected the “valuable contribution” of Jewish schools to the education sector and the “high quality” education at KD.
