NOMINATIONS
HENDON UNITED SPORTS
Zack Lewis (Attack) - 2 goals, great performance, had the HMH defence dancing at times with his close control
Dovi Fehler (Attack) great performance that was deservedly capped with a goal
Jonny Kay (Midfield) Marshalled the midfield superbly, key interceptions and always reliable with his distribution
Yehuda Korman (defence) man of the match performance from Yehuda today, did not let a thing past him defensively despite struggling with injury and was solid the whole game
Jordan Mizrahi (defence) solid display at left-back, along with Yehuda kept Oscar Wagner, Natey Kashket and the rest of the HMH threat at bay all game
=================
HMH
Ethan Krell (M) - looked like he had been to boot camp not yeshiva as he bossed the second half
=================
TEMPLE FORTUNE
Simon Pocztaruk (centre-back) - was fantastic on debut against the Bears
Eshad Rahav (midfield) - energy levels impressed, didn’t stop running and created lots throughout
Danny Sherman (Striker) - They couldn’t handle him, he was physical and showed great presence, won every header from long balls
=================
FC TEAM
Dan Breger (centre-mid) - did not miss a tackle
Craig Sandford (centre-mid) – leader in the middle of the park
Connor Perl (striker) – 3 sublime finishes
=================
FAITHFOLD WHITE
Gideon Caller and Jeremy Borenstein (full-backs) - were class throughout against Oakwood
Martin Smulovitch and Avi Mocton (centre-backs) - showed that they are a pairing that no one will fancy playing against
Jack Joseph (centre-mid) - came on at half-time, took the game by the scruff of the neck and engineered an excellent comeback, was really unfortunate not to get a winner on a couple of occasions
Eli Davila (centre-mid) - broke up play time after time, didn't let Oakwood have minute and scored a towering header
=================
CLUB DE CHIGWELL
Josh Rose (goalkeeper) - made some crucial saves at important times in the game. Constantly talking to the back four which contributed to our strong defensive display
Stanley Offord (centre-back) - Absolute rock at the back and put in a captain's performance. His calmness on the ball is a beautiful sight. His goal capping off a fine display from CdC’s no. 3
Josh Dobias (defender) - need we say more than about the goal-line clearance? Everyone thought it was going to be a goal apart from him. Won all his headers and was a machine
- Joe Klein (midfield) - the engine room in our midfield. Defensively solid, kept the ball moving forward and put a free-kick top bins at a time in the game when Bourissa Barnet thought they were back in it
- Harry Grant (midfield) - not only scoring what will be in contention for goal of the season. His defence splitting passes, especially for Daniel Garfinkle’s first goal, were David Silva-esque
- Daniel Garfinkle (striker) - showed exactly why he is one of the most feared players in Jewish football. A constant thorn in the Bourissa Barnet defence and the overhead kick goal to get his hat-trick showed his class and the X-factor he possesses
=================
SPEC FC
Jeff Gotch (centre-back) - His best performance in a SPEC shirt. Won countless headers and very composed on the ball.
Zack Neiman (striker) - not fully fit but still scored twice including a last-minute winner
Adam Joselyn (centre-mid) - a big shift in the middle of the park. Also made a lovely pass for Neiman's first

HERTSWOOD VALE
Jordan Grant (centre-back) – the decision to thrust him straight into the starting XI for today’s match was justified with an outstanding defensive performance, particularly his work in marshalling Dons striker Zach Cohen. Jordan was solid throughout, winning crucial interceptions and headers. Popped up with a debut goal, an equaliser which provided us with the impetus to win the game
Justin Mullem (right-back) – “I play better when I’m hungover” – truer words have never been spoken. Justin was immense today, with constant running up and down the wing. Vale’s Harry Graham described it as one of his top three games after playing together for years. Will be a crucial asset for us this season
Charlie Becker (centre-mid) – MOTM. It’s very rare that a player can come away with the MOTM award when one of his team-mates has just bagged a hat-trick. 10/10 performance. After passing a late fitness test, Charlie had a debut to remember. His contribution to the win today with countless headers, passes and interceptions to break up the Dons attacks was crucial. Controlled the midfield, and walked away with an assist on his debut. Keep an eye on this kid
James Millet (CAM) – how do you better scoring 20 goals last season, and a league title? We’re still unsure but a hattrick on the opening day of the season isn’t a bad place to start. James won’t mind me saying that he’s had better days, missing two or three chances that you’d put your house on him to score, but he still comes away with the match ball. Was quality throughout, creating chances for himself as well as his teammates. Vale’s new vice-captain really stepped up to the plate today
Jordan Harris (left-back) – a player that often goes under the radar. Solid performance from one of Vale’s most consistent performers. Put in some delicious corners in the second half, causing issues for the Dons defence. His work rate and energy was infectious
Jamie Steinberg (striker) – played an essential role as a super-sub today, appearing from the bench at the end of the first half and again when we were 2-1 down. A powerhouse. Caused all sorts of problems with his darting runs across the pitch, and played a huge role in our comeback
