JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: CONTENDERS
BEN KOHLER (MLFC Blue) - GOAL 2 - with 20 minutes to play and 2-1 down, MLFC were awarded a free-kick 30 yards out. Kohler, already with one goal to his name, took charge of the opportunity. Having come close on several occasions this year and always practicing in training, Kohler’s timing for a first free-kick couldn’t have been more perfect as he struck the ball perfectly over the wall, rattling the underside of the bar leaving the keeper with no chance
ELI DAVILA (Faithfold DocMM White) - an excllent strike, with his weaker foot, from half way line

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: CONTENDERS
JAMES HARPIN (North West London Bears) - At 0-0 in the first half, Elio Elia was clean through and struck a good shot which Harpin saved with his right foot
BEN POLLINS & BEN LEVENE (Brook Farm Rovers) - tipped a 25-yard free-kick from James Belchak onto the bar before Levene cleared the rebound off the line

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: CONTENDERS
ADAM SPECK (Temple Fortune) - "A winning habit is nice to have and that is exactly what we have at the moment. Today wasn't the prettiest and credit to the opposition who sat back and made it difficult, but we have learned how to win and yet again showed that solidarity and belief together can win games of football"
ADAM CONWAY (Club de Chigwell) - "I was also happy to give my first contribution on the pitch for the season, although my body is now hurting everywhere!"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:
CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP QUARTER-FINALS
JEWDINESE 0 HMH 4
Goals from Adam Ellis, Alex Moss, Sam Monjack and Oscar Wagner eased HMH into the last four of the League Cup following a comfortable 4-0 win over first division Jewdinese.
HMH boss Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "It was a more than comfortable win in the end. We remain very hard to beat as our defence again were superb, Moss and Monjack ran the game in midfield and it was great to see the goals flying in, seven in total, even if only four were given.”
'Nese manager Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "I’m incredibly proud of our performance today, especially the first half. We held our own against a strong HMH side, whiet we had a very makeshift back five and a stand-in goalkeeper."
DC Prediction: Nese 1 HMH 1 (HMH to win on penalties)

FAITHFOLD DOCMM WHITE 2 MLFC BLUE 3
BEN KOHLER was the hat-trick hero as MLFC Blue beat table-toppers Faithfold DocMM White in a five-goal thriller.
Eli Davila was among the scorers for Faithfold, for whom player-manager Avi Markiewicz, playing emergency goalkeeper again, went off injured with a broken arm, which has ruled him out for the rest of the season.
MLFC joint-manager Max Kyte told JC Sport: "Before the game we spoke about the importance of hard work. The successful teams in the league, and any league for that matter, are the ones who work hard for each other on and off the pitch. The attitude was taken into the warm up and onto the pitch. We took control of the game from the outset and retained the ball nicely."
Markiewicz told JC Sport: "We were excellent first half, doing what we do, soaking up pressure and playing on the counter."
DC Prediction: Faithfold 1 MLFC 1

NORTH LONDON GALAXY 2 BROOK FARM ROVERS 1
Jordan Grundman and Zac Rose registered as Galaxy boosted their title hopes with a hard-fought win over Rovers.
Alon Pinhas replied for Rovers.
Rovers' joint-player-manager Dan Cohen told JC Sport: "It was a cruel finish to the game for us but we can be very proud of our performance. The boys worked their socks off for 90 minutes and deserved a point but it wasn’t to be."
DC Prediction: Galaxy 3 BFR 1

MLFC RED FOLD
Joel Nathan has explained why MLFC Red have withdrawn from Division One – their results have been expunged as they failed to complete 75 per cent of their league fixtures.
“The idea at the start of the season was for Maccabi London FC to have two squads, with the Reds made up of a few core players, supplemented by our under-18 midweek team and Masters players when available,” he said.
“However despite our good intentions, our plan has not worked and each week it has become more of a struggle to field two teams, and it is with great regret that we decided to pull the MLFC Reds from the league with immediate effect.”
Team manager Nathan added: “We will be looking to re-enter a team next year with full commitment, both in terms of a dedicated manager(s) and players.”

NORTH WEST LONDON BEARS 3 PARIS SAINT-JEWMAIN 0
A deadly double from veteran striker Ashley Davidson plus one from Sam Shackleton kept North West London Bears's excellent run going at the expense of PSG.
Bears' joint-player-manager James Harpin told JC Sport: "That second half performance was probably the best we have played all season. We kept the ball well and when PSJ did attack we soaked it up and countered well."
DC Prediction: Bears 3 PSJ 2

CLUB de CHIGWELL 7 WEST HAMDILLAH 2
DANIEL GARFINKLE (3) produced his Sunday best as Club de Chigwell finished in seventh heaven against West Hamdillah to book their place in the last four.
Further strikes from Sam Stein, Joe Klein, Kane Fallon and Saul Green added the gloss for the Essex boys.
CdC co-manager Adam Conway told JC Sport: "To be honest, it was a very poor start from us. We gave them far too much respect. However, the fightback from the team was good to see and the end result was in no doubt once we got the first goal back. I was also happy to give my first contribution on the pitch for the season, although my body is now hurting everywhere!"
DC Prediction: CdC 4 Hamdillah 1

HAMPSTEAD DUCKS 1 TEMPLE FORTUNE 2
Danny Sherman and Gary Hyams were the scorers as Fortune moved into the semis after edging past the Ducks at Bridgestone Arena.
Captain Adam Speck commented: "A winning habit is nice to have and that is exactly what we have at the moment. Today wasn't the prettiest and credit to the opposition who sat back and made it difficult, but we have learned how to win and yet again showed that solidarity and belief together can win games of football."
DC Prediction: Ducks 2 TFFC 3

SCRABBLE 1 FC TEAM 2
Mitch Young and Richard Salmon fired FC Team through as they beat Scrabble for the second time in a week.
FC Team player-manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "We're pleased to get through to the semis. We were in total control from start to finish, missing a number of chances hitting the bar four times! Their keeper had a great game and they were vastly improved from last week. We are playing well heading into the final hurdle of matches and just need to be slightly more clinical."
DC Prediction: Scrabble 1 FC Team 4
