RJC settled quickly as Rovers struggled to find theirr rhythm on a muddy and slippery pitch. And their efforts were rewarded when club stalwart Darren Brown tucked home a pinpoint cross - his effort creeping through the legs of BFR goalkeeper Ben Pollins.

However, the end to the first half saw Rovers wake up and start to really press Redbridge back, with only poor finishing and perfectly timed-tackles and blocks keeping the scoreline at 1-0.

Rovers pushed and pushed for that equalising goal at the start of the second half. More guilt-edged chances came and went but the visitors eventually got their rewards with 20 minutes remaining when Alon Pinhas played in Dan Cohen down the left, he skipped past two Redbridge defenders and coolly slotted home across the keeper.

From then on in, it was a tight and cagey affair but Rovers kept going forwards and with nearly the last kick of the game got a late winner. A free-kick was whipped in from the left hand side by Cohen and Guv Nussbaum got on the end of it to poke it across goal for Josh Silverman to slot into an empty net to spark wild celebrations from those in green.

Rofvers' joint-player-manager Dan Cohen told JC Sport: "It was an incredibly tough game today. The conditions made it very difficult to play football and we were up against a Redbridge side who worked hard and defended stoutly throughout.

"It was an ugly win but certainly a deserved one and we showed great character to come back from behind away from home and get a massive three points."
