DANNY CARO'S GOAL OF THE WEEK - ADAM WATERS

------------------------------------
------------------------------------

JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. LORIAN MADANES (FC Team B) - opening goal, ball played to Lorian out on left got past his man and from tight angle cooly finished
2. OLI HENRY (Blizzard Storm) – spotted the goalkeeper off his line from the kick-off, went for goal – and produced a stunning effort
3. JONAH GORDON BOYD (AC Whetstone) – a brilliant 40-yard strike on the turn which sailed over the goalkeeper
4. AVI KORMAN (Hendon A) - you won't see a better strike all season - brilliant unstoppable left-foot rocket from 25 yards which flew into top corner
5. ANDY SMITH (L'Equipe) - GOAL 2 - Mark Smith looked up and played a raking 50-yard cross-field goal into the path of his younger, brother Andy Smith who took the ball on one bounce before volleying it into the top corner
6. NICK STERN (L'Equipe) - Andy Smith beat two men down the left wing, and seeing the on-rushing Nick Stern, picked up his head and laid the ball across the edge of the box. Rather than taking a touch, he let the ball run across his body firing an unbeatable strike in the top corner smashing into the stantion
7. ADAM WATERS (Los Blancos) - rounding three defenders Messi-style and poking the ball into the bottom right corner with the outside of his foot
8. ADAM HERSH (Los Blancos) - scored a 40-yard lob after spotting the keeper off his line

------------------------------------
------------------------------------

DANNY CARO'S SAVE OF THE WEEK - DAN COHEN

------------------------------------
------------------------------------

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. ALEX TAYLOR (Faithfold A) – stand-in keeper produced a brilliant stop in the final minutes, diving to his right to finger tip a low drive which was destined for the bottom corner
2. DAN COHEN (Oakwood A) - just to show what a top keeper he's become, DC2 made a brilliant stop with his feet in extra-time. It was one of the only times he was called on in the match which made it an even better reaction stop. We wish him well on his trip to the States
3. JORDAN DAVIDSON (ML Lions Spartans) - tipped a goal-bound strike wide at full stretch
4. DAVID SIMNOCK (Raiders B) - skipper-for-the-day made one outstanding block from Rob Hershkorn in the first half
5. JONATHAN SHAPIRO (Raiders B) - denied Camden with a vital goalline clearance
6. GRANT WAISSEL (Raiders C) - came off his line to block superbly in a one-on-one situation

DANNY CARO'S QUOTE OF THE WEEK - DAVID GARBACZ

------------------------------------
------------------------------------

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
1. JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - "How can I criticise when you hit the woodwork five times against the team that everyone says is a good team?"
2. SIMON LINDEN (Blizzard Storm) - There's nothing better than beating Redbridge - a fantastic result for us that proves on our day we can beat anyone in this league"
3. DAVID GARBACZ (Hendon A) - "This was without doubt the most satisfying result of the season so far. Once again Greg Corin provided the key match winning moment, but this was a victory for the whole team who were superb in the second half and each and every one of them played their part in a great win"
4. ADAM GLEKIN (Hendon B) - "I don't like to single out players because all of the lads were exceptional but Gab Saul was particularly good, rolling back the years and covering every blade of grass (or perhaps every chunk of mud is more appropriate given the condition of the pitch)"
5. ANTHONY COHEN (AC Whetstone) - "Ideally I would like some plaudits after we win with a last-minute, scrappy goal that creeps over the line having deflected off our forwards knee!"
6. ZACK GOTHELF (Raiders C) - QUOTE 1 - "David Woolf, as the sole supporter of the day, certainly got his money's worth in a fantastic fixture between two proper footballing sides"
7. ZACK GOTHELF (Raiders C) - QUOTE 2 - "No-one at the club likes rumours, especially when as unfounded as this one is. Having our players linked to anyone is of course flattering, but Jake isn't going anywhere"
