These incredible works of art are in fact created out of eyeshadow by make-up artist Tal Peleg.

Miss Peleg, 29, from Israel, has been painting these mini masterpieces onto eyelids as part of a project she calls “window to the soul”.

The Princess and the Pea design left, and right, how the design looks on artist Tal Peleg's eye

Inspired by everything from fairy tales, to her pet cat, to sushi, the professional make-up artist and blogger says: “Makeup is an amazing form of art, and I use it in order to make my eye tell a story.”

She uses only liquid eyeliner and eyeshadow – and the odd applique jewel or piece of string - and doesn’t just use the eye as a canvas for her art but: "use[s]the shape of the eye and its natural curves as part of the illustration in a creative way”.

And with over 300,000 followers on social media, we’re not the only ones who have been amazed by her designs. Check out more of Miss Peleg’s amazing creations on Facebook and Instagram.
