Two of Eilat’s finest hotels, the Dan Eilat and Dan Panorama, have for a long time been a popular winter-holiday retreat for growing numbers of Anglo tourists wishing to escape the freezing weather back home and bask in the southern resort's warm sunshine.

“It’s not unusual to see British tourists disembarking from the plane already clad in their sandals and summer wear, ready to go straight to the beach or the pool the minute they check in,” says Guy Adiran, general manager at the Dan Panorama Eilat.

The luxurious Dan Eilat, listed by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine as one of the top ten hotels in the Mediterranean and African regions, recently began a top-to-bottom makeover, including impeccably-styled, contemporary rooms with designer lighting, plasma TVs and balconies overlooking the Mediterranean sea. A fully equipped gym, squash courts and spa (including a Turkish hamam), are available for hotel guests, as well as two sun-kissed and heated outdoor pools.  The kids will be entertained from sunrise to sunset with a myriad of “DaniLand” children’s clubs featuring fun-filled programmes designed for each age group.

Also renowned for its cuisine, The Dan Eilat’s breakfast buffet showcases  a wide array of colourful, healthy salads and fish dishes, accompanied by attentive service. The hotel’s chief culinary experts also take particular care to cater for individual guests’ dietary requirements, for example gluten-free, vegan, or coeliac. Also known for its first-class international restaurants, the Dan Eilat’s gourmet menus are drawn from all corners of the globe. Every meal is a gastronomic masterpiece, served in atmospheric settings, indoors or out.

The location of the hotel allows guests to enjoy all the city’s attractions including the inviting beach, underwater observatory, Ice Mall and bustling promenade.

Across town, along the North Beach, the Dan Panorama Eilat has a host of activities for both couples and families with children. It recently opened a new outdoor children’s park, which features swings, trampolines, basketball court and a rope-bridge and it also offers a variety of activities and entertaining evening shows.

British guests particularly enjoy the hotel’s challenging ten-hole mini golf course, state-of-the-art gym, sauna and whirlpool bath, or just lounging around the pool or nearby beach. Adventure-seekers can scuba dive, sail or indulge in any other water sport that takes their fancy, or rent a luxurious boat at the marina next door, for a really glamorous holiday lifestyle.

Dan Panorama’s guests enjoy their winter holiday in modern, stylish rooms and suites - all with private balconies. World-class chefs prepare tempting food, including the traditional vast Israeli breakfast buffet and dinners with an abundance of barbecued meats and  refreshing salads.

All in all, a fantastic holiday experience beckons, with the seaside beauty of Eilat and the professional teams at the Dan Eilat and Dan Panorama, ready to greet you with warm smiles and the keys to relaxation for your body and soul.
