The visitors have always been good opponents and looked to come and spoil the festive season when they took the lead.

However, this is the time of year where miracles can happen and one did when Adam Lipman scored from fully 35 yards to equalise with a half volley.

Lions looked the better side after the interval and when skipper Jake Furman returned to the fray off the bench to make it 2-1 Lions didn’t look back.

Soon after, an own goal from the visitors settled the contest and Lions will be well pleased with their last 11 games seeing nine wins, one draw and just one defeat.

LIONS: David Myers, Nathan Schindler, Adam Harvey, Ollie Craig, Adam Myeroff, Nick Landesberg, Adam Lipman, Liron Mannie, Adam Bolle, Lee Goldberg, Dan Creese. Subs: Jake Furman, Christian Edwards, Reiss Mogilner

SCORERS: Lipman, Furman, own goal
