While the Maccabi GB Southern Football League (MGBSFL) season may only have reached the halfway stage, Division Two newboys Sukkotingham Forest can cap off a stunning debut season by clinching the title when the season resumes from its winter break on Sunday morning.

In what would go down in the record books as one of the earliest ever title wins in the League, Forest’s run of from since the start of the season has been nothing short of miraculous. Winning nine of their ten games, and drawing the other, they’ve racked up an incredible goal difference of +44 – the highest across the entire League.

A win against Bocher Juniors this coming weekend will see them lift silverware, a mere four months into existence, though is something Eytan Millan predicted at the start of the season. Saying how ‘we’re hoping to win the league’, he also claimed the side ‘will bring a new style of football to the MGBSFL with exciting attacking football’. They’ve certainly delivered on that front and are just 90 minutes away from sealing what will be a memorable maiden title.

While the Division One title race isn’t as much of a foregone conclusion, Yallatasary are definitely proving to be the team to beat, their latest win before the winter break seeing them open up a five-point lead at the top of the table.
