As part of the events taking place alongside the recent Jerusalem marathon, Aron Yona, 14, finished 27th out of nearly 6,000 competitors in the 5K race, while V55 Graham Lewis, normally more at home in the gym, ran his second half-marathon in 2:19.47, having participated in the Tel Aviv half-marathon just three weeks earlier.
U23 Hannah Viner set a new personal best of 34.00 at the Villa de Laredo 10K in Spain to take top spot in the UK rankings for her age group and 13th overall.
Highgate Harrier clubmate Nick Gold’s time of 17.09 at the Alexandra Palace 5K parkrun took him straight to no. 11 in the V45 category. Mother and son V45 Sara Black and U15 Jack Davis-Black also raced at Alexandra Palace, recording PBs of 20.47 and 18.13 respectively.
At the U13/U15 indoor open at Lee Valley, ML Harriers U15 multi-eventer Jayden Klein added 6cm to his previous PB for the high jump, scaling 1.41m on the way to completing his first pentathlon.
His U13 clubmate Hannah Pillemer took 0.35 off her 60m PB with a time of 9.97.
Jacob Clement and Daisy Feinson, both 12, came close to their own PBs with 2:38.88 in the 800m and 34.36 in the 200m respectively.
