Dmitriy Salita says he will show his world title credentials when he takes on Vivian Harris as he attempts to close in on a second world title shot.

The 30-year-old Ukraine-born light-welterweight will line up on the same bill as Paul Malignaggi, who defends his WBA world welterweight title, and Danny Garcia’s WBC and WBA light-welterweight defence in his home town of Brooklyn on October 20.

Salita (left) has won all four fights since being stopped in the first round by Amir Khan, who was recently beaten by Garcia, in Newcastle in 2009.

"I have had many fights in New York as a pro and even fought in Brooklyn, but this will truly be a special and historic event that will forever remain in the hearts and minds of everyone,” said Salita.

"Three of the four world title fights on the show will be at or near my weight and I look forward to making a statement in my home town. I intend to give the fans a world-class performance.

"There are a few fighters on the show that I would love to challenge, with Malignaggi among them. That is extra motivation for me."

Salita, who stopped veteran Roberto Venezuela in the fourth round in his last fight in August, has been training at the renowned Kronk gym in Detroit.

He said: "There are many world-class fighters here from all over the world and that creates a great motivating atmosphere for a boxer to be in.

"I have trained regularly in Detroit over the last two years and it has definitely improved me in many ways.”

Meanwhile, Daniel Aharonov takes part in his first professional bout at Camden Town Hall tonight.
Fighting under the name Danny ‘Kid’ Ahrenf, the Israeli, takes on Kevin McCauley in a light-middleweight contest.

He has been training at the My Gym in Finchley, north London, working with Spencer Oliver and Don Charles.
