Dmitriy Salita is considering fighting again despite turning down a lucrative offer to step back into the ring this weekend.
The 32-year-old welterweight has been contemplating his fighting future since his hopes of securing a second world title challenge were wrecked when he suffered a points defeat against Gabriel Bracero last November.
Salita, who has been concentrating on his burgeoning career as a promoter, turned down an offer to fight Andre Berton.
"I'm happy to get the offer but I don’t take fights on short notice,” he said.
"I thought about it and I felt good about it but I can’t take a fight on two weeks notice against someone who’s been training six months. But if something interesting comes along, I would consider it."
Salita is now focusing on his Star of David Promotions company’s next Brooklyn Brawl show — which features his first women’s bout when WBO lightweight champion Amanda Serrano takes on Jackie Trivilino.
