David Blatt steered Russia into the semi-finals of the Men's Basketball competition following a 83-74 victory over Lithuania.

Blatt, who also coaches Maccabi Tel Aviv, is the last realistic hope of an Israeli winning a medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

On Thursday, Julie Zetlin of America and Israel's Neta Rivkin are in action in the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition, while Steve Solomon lines up for Australia in the 4x400m relay at the Olympic Stadium.
