MJSL JOAN COLLINS PREMIER DIVISION
HAROLDEANS 3
MACCABI MANCHESTER BLUE 1
Bloomberg plotted the Merseysiders’ march to the title last term but they not having it all their own way this time around.
Haroldeans remain top after coming from behind following Andy Hatton’s opener for Maccabi Manchester Blue, thanks to goals from Max Barnett, Maxim Green and Ben Kersh.
But boss Bloomberg said: “All credit to Maccabi Blue, they were well organised and committed.
“It only confirmed my opinion that the league is much more competitive this season.
“We are our own worst enemies at times.
“Once again we started too slowly but made changes at half-time which made the difference.”
Elsewhere, James Murawa’s second-half strike earned in-form Sedgley Park Celtic a 1-0 win over South Manchester 2nds.
It ensures they remain firmly in the title race, alongside Haroldeans, South Manchester Sports 1st and Leeds Maccabi.
