JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

JORDAN NATHAN (NL Raiders) - GOAL 1 - there are moments in football where there isn’t really much you can do - Nathan spanked an equaliser top bins from 30 yards on the stroke of half time. Definitely the best goal Vale have conceded all season and again, nothing anyone could‘ve done about that

TYLER SMITH (NL Galaxy) - breathtaking 40 yard free kick. Identical to Payet at Old Trafford - honestly sensational goal.

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

GIDEON GALE (NL Raiders) - QUOTE 1 - Goal for the season achieved and couldn’t be prouder of the boys! True grit and determination got us through today and think it’s safe to say that the shoreline doesn’t reflect the way the game flowed! Credit to Vale who made it difficult.

GIDEON GALE (NL Raiders) - QUOTE 2 - "For myself and Isaacs, it’s now about building a team which we think is good enough to challenge the Top 2 in the prem next year which we know were more than capable of!"

LUKE LEWIS (NL Galaxy) - ''Our hopes of 2 seasons 2 trophies ends there, but we’ll learn from this season and be sure to come back stronger. Congratulations to Raiders for their league trophy, deserved winners and been stand out this season''

Raiders co-boss Gideon Gale told JC Sport: "It's a terrific achievement from the lads. Not a single team has got close to us this season and we can all be very proud about the hard work we’ve put in throughout the season."

Vale joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: "It’s a scoreline that really doesn’t tell the full story, and whilst I’m disappointed that we collapsed in the last few minutes, I’m very proud of a strong performance which saw both teams level at 1-1 on 83 minutes."

BORUSSIA BARNET 11 WEST HAMDILLAH 1

Borussia Barnet closed the gap at the top to three points, with a game in hand on leaders FC Team, after securing their biggest ever win.

Ollie Hart (2), Oron Sheldon (2), Danny Shina (2), Mitchell Gerber (2), Adam Bowman, Joe Woolf and Sam Lipton boosted Borussia's goal difference against the basement battlers.

After a good start an early goal came through a tidy finish by Hart. Hamdillah equalised from a corner beforer Hart restored BB's lead and a quick time Shina double saw them lead 4-1 at half-time. BB knew they had to make up goal difference due to their opening day 7-2 defeat to Chigwell. So they couldn’t rest on their laurelts and they ran in a further seven goals.

Borussia joint-manager Brad Papier told JC Sport: "We knew we needed to make up goal difference to put things fully in our favour and we’ve done just that, three wins and a draw will see us crowned champions. Job done today and we’re in a fantastic position to go on, and win the title and that’s exactly what we plan to do. We have a massive game next week away at Chigwell, we’re definitely playing with a chip on the shoulder after the opening day defeat as we want to set the record straight."

DC Prediction: Borussia 5 Hamdillah 0

DAVID WOLFF DIVISION ONE CUP QUARTER-FINAL

JEWDINESE 1 NORTH LONDON GALAXY 1

Goalkeeper Ben Halmer was the star performer as Jewdinese beat promotion rivals Galaxy on penalties.

The tie finished 1-1 after 90 minutes, with James Ross's opener for 'Nese cancelled out by Tyler Smith.

Nese boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "We're absolutely delighted. A truly superb win today. We may not have been at our best in the second half but we dug in deep and limited Galaxy to playing in front of us. We defended tremendously. And what can I say about Ben Halmer. He single-handedly won us the game. He made two or three superb saves during the game before two penalty saves and scoring the winning penalty - what a day for him! He was outstanding and has been all season. He deserves this and I’m so happy for him. Onto the semis."

Galaxy player-manager Luke Lewis told JC Sport: ''Gutting to have lost the way we did - but ultimately pens are in gods' hands, and we didn’t the rub of the green on the day. Ben Halmer was superb for Nese in the game and took them to victory in the shootout - well done to him.''

DC Prediction: Nese 1 Galaxy 1 (Nese to win on penalties)
