HMH stunned defending champions Chigwell Athletic into submission with an outstanding 3-0 victory courtesy of strikes from Dan Suissa, Simon Ritterband and Neil Kochane.
Having been edged out by Lions late on last time out, HMH ran out worthy winners at Silver Jubilee Park, earning their first points of the season against last year’s Division 1 champions.
It was a day to celebrate for fans of Brady Maccabi, as both their teams triumphed in the Maccabi Masters League.
Paul Shamplina, Mark Wagman and Ashley Davidson scored to give Brady A a 3-0 win over Maccabi London Lions A, and in Division 2, Brady B overturned James Ryan’s opener to gain their first win of the campaign, with Trevor Tucker scoring from a bullet header and Jonathan Kalms hitting the winner in their 2-1 win over Temple Fortune.
Marshside twice came from behind to share the points with Hendon Harriers. Fara Moghim and Gil Barel netted for Marshside in response to goals from Harriers’ Andy Diamond and a 25-yarder from Jon Nesbitt.
