Glenthorne A are odds-on to win the MMFL Division Two title after brushing away the challenge from leaders London Maccabi Lions 3-0.
Strikes from Sid Shaw, Jason Levy and Gary Adams earned the east Londoners a comfortable win that leaves them just one point adrift of Lions but with three games in hand – all against the bottom three teams.
In the continuing group stages of the MMFL-MGBSFL Invitation Trophy, Norstar London Raiders B saw off the challenge from North London Raiders Masters with a 5-3 win, courtesy of goals from Jonny Blain (2), Nicky Woolf (2) and Adam Posner, whilst Tony Plaskow (2) and Ben Novick replied for the Masters’ team.
