Maccabi Masters review: January 31

articlemain

The Masters League Cup kicked off this week with Brady A, Faithfold and North London Raiders all safely through their ties against Division Two opponents.

A deadly double from Louis Taylor plus one apiece from player-manager from David Garson, Mike Patterson, Howard Cazin and Damian Jacobs saw FAITHFOLD crush HENDON HARRIERS 6–1. Brian Deal claimed Hendon’s consolation.

RAIDERS also hit six, cruising past MARSHSIDE thanks to doubles from Rob Cohen and Ben Simons, together with strikes from Wayne Davidson and Adam Harvey.

BRADY A inflicted a first defeat of the season upon the lower tier’s runaway leaders, MACCABI LONDON LIONS, with Scott Warren and Mark Wagman giving them a 2–0 win.

Alex Bourne (2), Nicky Harris and debutant Dan Ezra fired WALDAF TOWN to a 4-2 success over SCRABBLE. Andrew Binstock and Steven Moss replied for Scrabble.

EDRS STONEGROVE and GLENTHORNE drew 1-1, Tony Platman and Gary Adams scoring respectively.
